[Atompunk] Miss Atom Bomb USA (1952-1957)

I've been following the atompunk list for some weeks now - great reading 
material and visuals.

I recently came across a PDF document on the short history of 'Miss Atom 
Bomb' USA (or Miss Atom Blast, Miss A-bomb or Miss Atomic Bomb). This is 
different from the posting earlier by danja vasiliev to the atompunk 
list (feb 20th 2009 - she referred to a Russian 2009 pageant).//

A short excerpt: 'Reflecting the culture of the day while combining two 
of Las Vegas' biggest attractions: showgirls and atom bombs, the first 
known photo of an atomic pin-up girl appeared on May 9, 1952. [...] On 
May 24, 1957, the Las Vegas News Bureau released the last, and arguably, 
most famous "Miss Atomic Bomb" photo of all to coincide with Operation 
Plumbbob at the Nevada Test Site.'
